Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Senior Bartender to manage our non-alcoholic beverage service at our Pure Vegetarian Indian Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, deep knowledge of non-alcoholic beverages (mocktails, fresh juices, traditional Indian drinks), and the ability to lead and train junior bar staff. You will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience through exceptional beverage service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of mocktails, fresh juices, lassis, milkshakes, and traditional Indian beverages (e.g. jaljeera, aam panna, buttermilk).
  • Develop new and seasonal non-alcoholic drink menus in line with restaurant themes or festivals.
  • Ensure high-quality preparation, presentation, and consistency of all drinks.
  • Supervise and train junior bartenders or beverage staff.
  • Manage inventory of bar ingredients, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of the beverage counter and equipment.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation standards, especially as related to food handling.
  • Interact with guests to understand preferences and suggest suitable drinks.
  • Monitor and reduce wastage of ingredients and ensure cost control.
  • Assist in planning special beverage promotions or events (e.g. summer coolers, Diwali specials).
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth flow of service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a bartender in a fine-dining or specialty restaurant (mocktail experience required).
  • Strong knowledge of non-alcoholic beverage preparation, including Indian drinks and international mocktails.
  • Creativity in developing unique, healthy, and seasonal drinks.
  • Leadership ability and experience in supervising a small team.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hygiene and food safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in bartending or food & beverage operations (optional but preferred)
  • Familiarity with Indian ingredients, spices, and Ayurvedic drink trends is a plus
  • Ability to work in high-volume environments with attention to detail

Work Schedule:

  • Rotational shifts (including weekends and holidays)
  • Lunch and dinner service hours
