Nacelle TCMTCM Nacelle (Transport, Construction & Maintenance) is part of Aerodynamic & Mechanical department in Vestas Power Solutions (VPS, the Vestas R&D). VPS is the business unit where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, maintained and tested. VPS operates on a global scale with more than 3, employees.The TCM Nacelle group is a multicultural and diverse team, with engineers of several nationalities and located in different regions all over the word. The team is responsible for developing solutions (tools and support documents) for transport, installation and service of Vestas components worldwide. We are involved in the onshore and in the offshore turbine solutions development.Join Vestas and be at the forefront of wind turbine innovation.You'll shape the future of wind turbine design and enhance existing fleet solutions globally in this role.Apply now to support the innovation and contribute to a cleaner, greener world.ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate technical project activitiesSelect mechanical concepts, define solutions and plan solutions validationParticipate in field testing to validate tools and value chain processesEnsure cross functional collaboration with relevant interface owners throughout the value chainSupervise design risks of your solutions, tools and drawingsEnsure communication with suppliers and manufacturing, making sure to meet design targets and timelinesQualificationsBachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar2-5 years of experience as Structural or Mechanical DesignCompetenciesExperience / interest in mechanical design and specification in compliance with relevant international standardsExperience / interest in CAD development softwareInterest in structural analysis and FEA (Preferably ANSYS)Experience / interest in Scrum methodology or other Agile-related methodGuided by knowledge & learningsSelf-motivated, target focused, team member, creative, organized & structured personEffective communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing)What We OfferAdditional InformationYour primary workplace will be in Chennai, India.Please note: We do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to the advertised closing date.
