Role Description
We are seeking a talented Oracle APEX Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Software Engineering team, responsible for designing and implementing solutions using a combination of APEX, JavaScript, SQL, and PL/SQL.
You will also be responsible for integrating third-party APEX Plugins and JavaScript libraries, suggesting application design enhancements, and evaluating new technology options for adoption into the solution.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
· Design and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using Oracle APEX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and PL/SQL.
· Customize and extend Oracle APEX components to meet specific project requirements, ensuring high levels of functionality and performance.
· Develop and optimize database objects such as tables, views, triggers, and stored procedures using PL/SQL.
· Integrate third-party APIs and web services seamlessly into Oracle APEX applications.
· Evaluate new technology options and recommend the adoption of new technologies into the solution.
· Suggest application design enhancements and new product features to improve usability and functionality.
· Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure the reliability and quality of developed applications.
· Troubleshoot and debug application issues, providing timely resolutions and enhancements.
· Optimize application performance through efficient coding practices and database optimization techniques.
· Document technical designs, development processes, and user guides for developed applications.
· Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Oracle APEX development and related technologies.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing commercial-grade web applications using Oracle APEX.
· Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL for front-end and back-end development.
· Experience in managing web page layouts with APEX templates and themes.
· Strong understanding of relational data modeling.
· Knowledge of web application usability trends.
· Experience collaborating effectively with team members and partners in a distributed project environment.
· Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
