Introduction: As a leader in innovative smart switch technology, Toyama Controls is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Bangalore. This role is crucial for ensuring that our production of smart switches not only meets but exceeds the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
Job Description: The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations at our plant. This includes spearheading process improvements, driving optimization initiatives, and ensuring that production costs are minimized without compromising on safety or quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee plant production, manufacturing processes, and ensure adherence to all company policies and standards.
Develop and implement processes aimed at boosting productivity and overall plant performance.
Ensure that production outputs, product quality, and shipping schedules meet or exceed established targets.
Coordinate manufacturing activities to align with company objectives and customer expectations, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
Act as a key liaison between plant workers and upper management, facilitating communication and understanding across all levels.
Oversee the onboarding and training of new hires, and provide ongoing training and support to all plant staff.
Monitor and maintain plant equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Direct and coordinate daily plant operations to optimize resource use and maximize productivity.
Candidate Profile:
Proven track record of success in plant operations, preferably within the technology or manufacturing sectors.
Strong familiarity with regulatory standards applicable to plant operations.
Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant computer technologies.
Experience in safely operating and maintaining a wide range of plant machinery.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent; advanced degrees in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field are preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role within plant operations.
Deep understanding of the smart switch industry and its market dynamics.
Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to electrical switch manufacturing.
