Objectives of this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Security Solution Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network and security solutions. They will be responsible for architecting end-to-end network infrastructure and security systems that meet the business needs while adhering to industry best practices and compliance requirements.

The ideal individual is a team player who wants to innovate and grow while contributing to cutting-edge technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Network Architecture: Extensive expertise in designing and implementing network architectures for enterprise environments. Proficient in TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, SD-WAN, and network virtualization.

Security Architecture: Strong understanding of security principles and best practices. Experience in designing and implementing security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), VPNs, endpoint security, and encryption technologies.

Cloud Networking: Proficiency in cloud networking technologies and architectures, particularly in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. Knowledge of cloud-native networking services and security controls.

Solution Design: Design comprehensive network and security solutions that align with business objectives, considering scalability, performance, and security requirements.

Architecture Development: Develop architecture blueprints and documentation for network and security systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams involved in network and security projects.

Vendor Management: Evaluate and select vendors for network and security products and services and manage vendor relationships effectively.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in network and security architectures and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

Compliance and Governance: Ensure network and security solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams, including infrastructure, operations, and application development, to ensure seamless integration of network and security systems.

Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting complex network and security issues, providing expert-level support to resolve issues promptly.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in network and security and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network and security architectures, configurations, and processes.
