As a Lead Technical Program Manager in Engineer's Platform & Integrate Experience (EPiX), you will drive the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that will help reaching business goals across the firm. Leveraging deep knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential for developing innovative solutions, effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business goals. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to the development of operational plans and risk management strategies, ensuring the highest quality and professionalism in service delivery.
Engineer's Platform & Integrate Experience (EPiX) aims to10x our engineers’ productivity & efficiency, and make JPMC the most attractive engineering destination for engineers. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager within EPiX, you will manage complex technology programs that have far-reaching implications for customers, employees, and stakeholders throughout the firm. This role requires a strong grasp of the big-picture – namely, how can technology help engineers create value faster - as well as a keen ability to establish priorities, drive alignment across teams, and deliver results. In this role you will work closely with Product, Engineering, User Research & Design, and other cross-functional teams across the firm to identify opportunities and drive impact. Once you and your team establish a roadmap, you'll play an integral role in ensuring that programs are running effectively and efficiently. Just as importantly, you'll work with your team to set goals, foster collaboration, and promote the values, culture, and brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Job responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions
Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project momentum
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
Utilize advanced analytical reasoning to assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to establish productive working relationships and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams and clients
Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, including knowledge of vendor products and managing vendor relations, to enable on-demand access to shared pools of applications and services
Proven track record of effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience in running technology programs at scale
Being a change agent and in helping teams transform from output to outcome mindset
Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to lead through influence
Working with highly technical platform teams that enable customers at a large scale
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum framework to delivering customer outcomes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in developer platforms and tools
Ability to lead & organize complex initiatives at scale
A strong bias for action, and collaborative spirit
Managing various aspects of a program including scope definition & alignment, program governance & reporting, delivery & risk management, quarterly & annual planning, and stakeholder management across various levels of the organization
Establishing processes & tools that are effective and efficient for the program and everyone involved
Exercising independent judgement in identifying and resolving issues that impede progress
