Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with 5+ years of experience , including strong hands-on development using Kotlin . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs for scalable, high-performance applications. You will work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver robust and secure server-side logic and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain clean, modular, and scalable backend systems using Kotlin

Build RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support web and mobile platforms

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Implement and maintain integrations with external systems and services

Optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability

Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews

Contribute to CI/CD processes and backend deployment pipelines

Document system architecture and application workflows

Participate in Agile development cycles including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in backend development , with 3+ years specifically using Kotlin

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming concepts

Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs

Experience with microservices architecture

Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)

Familiarity with Spring Boot , Ktor , or similar Kotlin frameworks

Experience with build tools like Gradle or Maven

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker , Kubernetes )

Version control using Git

Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)

Nice to Have:
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS , Azure , or GCP

Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions

Experience with GraphQL APIs

Understanding of secure coding principles and application security best practices

Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
