JOB DESCRIPTION Position Overview: The Head of Compliance & Lean Six Sigma Excellence will lead operational excellence within the People Delivery Function, with a focus on compliance, risk management, and Lean Six Sigma project improvement activities. This role will ensures best-in-class P&C delivery by embedding robust compliance governance frameworks and by driving continuous improvement through Lean, and strengthening operational controls via three lines of defense. The position requires analyzing and interpreting data to identify weaknesses, uncover root causes, and recommend solutions that enable both incremental and transformative business changes. Key Responsibilities - Functional Expertise & Scope: Process Governance & Compliance: Lead operational risk management (e.g., FMEA) to identify, assess, and mitigate risks; Lead internal audits and facilitate external process audits, address findings, drive corrective actions and readiness for certification processes. Ensure adherence to KPIs, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions to maintain process reliability. Lean Six Sigma Transformation & Training: Deploy Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen workshops, along with automation projects, to eliminate waste, optimize efficiency, improve service quality, and address operational gaps. Lead & Coach Yellow Belt / Green Belt improvement initiatives to drive measurable business impact. Embed a culture of continuous improvement by conducting structured training, capability building, and Lean certification programs. Drive cultural adoption of Lean and continuous improvement practices across HR Shared Services, ensuring sustainable change and a mindset of operational excellence. Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to optimize service delivery, implement operational improvements, and enable data-driven decision making that enhances organizational efficiency and service quality. Provide strategic support to HR Business Partners by analyzing processes, identifying operational gaps, and recommending solutions to improve service delivery and compliance. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and certifying bodies, ensuring seamless coordination, addressing findings, and maintaining trust and transparency in all operational and compliance matters. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Master’s degree (MBA/MS) preferred. Professional Certifications Lean Six Sigma Master/Black Belt (MUST). PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred). Knowledge of ISO-9001 standards and compliance/audit frameworks. Experience 15+ years in operational excellence, as a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt. 5+ years in leadership roles, partnering with CXOs and managing cross-functional teams. 3+ years in HR Shared Services, with proven expertise in operational risk, data governance, Lean transformation, and process improvement initiatives (Kaizen, workshops, automation). Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Minitab, and JMP. Core Competencies Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and align operational strategies with business objectives. Leadership: Inspire, guide, and mentor teams through complex transformation initiatives. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and statistical analysis capabilities. Communication: Effective at presenting to senior leadership and engaging stakeholders. Change Management: Experienced in driving cultural and organizational transformation.
