Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and motivated DBT Developer to join our data engineering team. The primary mission will be to lead the migration of existing data pipelines from Talend for Big Data to DBT Core on Snowflake, within an Azure cloud environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data transformation pipelines that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Migrate and refactor existing Talend Big Data pipelines to DBT Core on SnowflakeDesign and implement scalable data models and transformation pipelines using DBTDevelop and optimize SQL-based transformations on SnowflakeIntegrate DBT workflows within Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake)Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needsEnsure data quality, consistency, and documentation across all pipelinesMonitor and troubleshoot data workflows in productionContribute to CI/CD practices for DBT projectsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) in a production environmentStrong SQL skills and experience with SnowflakeFamiliarity with Azure Cloud Services (especially Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse)Experience in data pipeline migration projectsUnderstanding of data modeling principles (star/snowflake schema, normalization)Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelinesNice to Have:Knowledge of Hadoop and Apache SparkExperience with traditional ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, DataStage)Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)Python scripting for data manipulation or automationSoft Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and in a teamGood communication and documentation abilitiesAgile mindset and experience working in Scrum/Kanban environments
