In this phase of our growth, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our growing global team and bring in rigor to our reporting and compliance. If number crunching, presenting reports, ratios, strategic insights basis financial models that matter to the company growth excites you, we’d like to hear from you


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting

Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. Analyse weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and develop financial models to identify trends and areas for improvement to support strategic planning and forecasting for management and stakeholders. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Communicate financial results, recommendations and actionable insights to stakeholders, including executive leadership and board members that aid in strategic decision-making

  • Risk Management

Identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks that may impact the organization, therefore ensuring the implementation of risk management policies and procedures to mitigate potential risks effectively

  • Controls and Compliance

Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations. Oversee financial audits and ensure audit readiness at all times. Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and accounting standards, implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures to stay compliant

  • Budgeting and Forecasting

Leading the creation of and managing the company's budget and forecasting process, aligning it with organizational goals, global business plans. Collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets. Monitoring budget performance and variance analysis, identifying and addressing discrepancies and gaps. Forecast financial and operational performance, identify risks, and adjust budgets accordingly to anticipate potential issues

  • Cash Flow Management

Manage cash flow forecasting and optimization to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and meeting global financial obligations. Monitor banking activities and manage relationships with financial institutions. Implement strategies to maximize cash efficiency and minimize financial risk. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Proactively escalate any delays on accounts receivable. Facilitate quick invoicing enforcing adherence of internal processes and introducing controls where needed for unobstructed cashflow related handling

  • Team Management

Effectively manage the finance team by providing necessary skills and resources, offering feedback, coaching, and ensuring team meets their goals and objectives. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team


Skills

  • Must be a Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years’ of proven experience as a Finance Controller
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, compliance and regulatory requirements in India
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision, be super-efficient yet compliant, accurate and having an impeccable eye for detail
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, whether internal or external
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights, recommendations and reports
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a will to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively with zero escalations
  • Having experience in an IT start-up would be preferred
  • Having CS and US GAAP experience is a good to have but not mandatory
