Key accountabilities:

  • To manage the test automation delivery of complex projects / programs independently throughout the lifecycle. This will include ensuring that the project is delivered on time, meets business & technical requirements
  • Identifying and recommending / co-creating the automated testing processes, frameworks and utilities
  • Subject matter expert in the automation testing areas
  • Define, publish and track key performance metrics for the automated testing
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training and mentoring to implement test automation across project teams
  • Define and implement test automation strategy including roadmap, co-define tools, co-create framework & approach across project teams
  • Oversee technological execution of the recommended automation solution roadmap across project teams
  • Participate in Design and Architectural discussion / reviews of proposed automation solutions across project teams
  • Evaluate and select best usage of test automation tools for different purposes
  • Assist engineering management team with the technical presentation of proposed test automation solutions
  • Understanding database testing technologies
  • Ongoing knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
  • Should have Knowledge of multiple test automation frameworks, containers and virtualization, automated build management tools
  • Monitor programs to identify best practices that can be more widely adopted
  • Work with teams to monitor process compliance and identify opportunities for test automation process improvement
  • Should understand the high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and drive decisions on appropriate solutions
  • Co-create and maintain scalable test frameworks for various functional and non-functional stages of the software development lifecycle.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Should have 18 years of experience in software Automation testing
  • Should have 5+ years of working experience in a project/program/ delivery management role
  • Should have 6+ years working as Test Automation Architect, including proven experience of designing and implementing Automation Testing frameworks and methodology to support agile product development
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skill combined with flexibility working in a dynamic, fast-moving product development environment
  • Strong understanding of Automation testing methodologies and best practices
  • Familiarity with industry standard open source Automation tools
