Company DescriptionMynvax is a pre-clinical stage vaccine biotechnology company located in Bengaluru. The company is actively developing programs for a recombinant vaccine for human influenza and COVID-19. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating, maintaining, passaging, testing, freezing and thawing multiple cell lines, and subsequent ELISA-based assays for quantitation. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a highly collaborative setting. Join us in our mission to advance vaccine research and development to combat infectious diseases.

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Research Associate at Mynvax Private Limited in Bengaluru. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, preparing reports, and assisting in vaccine development projects. Your contribution will be critical in advancing our vaccine programs. Candidate must be able toHandle multiple cell culture activities and other molecular assays (ELISA) for various cell linesCoordinate experiment planning and execution with researchers across other functional groups and possess good communication skills.Follow established protocols, independently conduct experiments, record observations, and analyze data with minimum supervision.This role involves working in a BSL-2 facility.Maintain and revive cell lines, provide cells for various plate-based assaysEnsure basic quality control of cells, perform cell counts and other assays (e.g., mycoplasma testing) as needed for various experimentsPerform cell banking activities for long term storage (LN2)Prepare cell culture reagents as required to support the virology team.Assist in ordering supplies, making reagents and maintaining the laboratory to conduct necessary experimentsMeticulously generate and maintain records

QualificationsExperience in laboratory research, data analysis, and report preparationKnowledge of vaccine development processes and molecular biology techniquesSkills in cell culture, PCR analysisAbility to work collaboratively in a research teamStrong organizational and time management skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in experimental workMaster's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field with 2-4 years' experience.
