Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Landscape Architect with expertise in Indian government projects to join our team. As a Lead/Principal Architect, you will lead the design and management of landscape architecture projects for various government clients in India. You will be responsible for developing innovative and sustainable landscape designs that enhance public spaces, promote environmental stewardship, and contribute to community well-being.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Leadership: Lead the architectural design process, providing strategic direction and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee all aspects of architectural projects, from initial concept development to final implementation . Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, project managers, engineers, and designers, to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop architectural solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders while aligning with organizational goals.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture and design. Lead the conceptualization, planning, and design development of landscape architecture projects for government clients in India, including Eco parks, zoo, public plazas, urban streetscapes, and recreational areas. Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for architectural design and documentation. Conduct reviews and audits to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines, building codes, and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to architectural design and development. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks and ensure project success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance architectural processes, methodologies, and tools. Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains in design workflows.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in landscape architecture , with a focus on designing and managing government projects in India.
  • Professional licensure or certification as a Landscape Architect preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex landscape architecture projects from concept to completion, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian landscape architecture standards, regulations, and government procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for landscape design, including AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing a diverse range of landscape architecture projects, particularly those implemented for government clients or public agencies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
