Custom Analog Design Engineer THE ROLE: The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design. THE PERSON: You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Custom Analog Engineer to join our innovative team. Your contributions will drive advancements in cutting-edge analog and mixed-signal technologies. Design and develop custom analog integrated circuits tailored to project-specific requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including architects, hardware, and firmware engineers—to translate feature requirements into optimal analog design solutions. Implement and verify Register Transfer Level (RTL) designs for digital components within mixed-signal systems. Perform simulation, modeling, and analysis to ensure compliance with performance and reliability specifications. Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, validation results, and test summaries. Support validation and debugging of analog and mixed-signal circuits during development and post-silicon phases. Drive continuous improvement of design methodologies, tools, and workflows. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and share best practices from industry experience. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. 10+ years of hands-on experience in analog circuit design and integration, preferably in commercial or industrial applications. Strong expertise in RTL design and verification, with a solid understanding of digital design principles. Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as SPICE, Cadence, or equivalent EDA platforms. Demonstrated ability to integrate digital and analog components effectively within mixed-signal environments. Proven track record of working in interdisciplinary teams and delivering high-impact solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
