Overview: The Data andGovernance Head plays a crucial role in overseeing theorganizations data management and governance strategies. Thisposition is integral in ensuring that the companys data practicesalign with regulatory requirements best practices andorganizational goals. The Data and Governance Head collaborateswith crossfunctional teams to establish and enforce data standardspolicies and procedures to maintain data integrity security andcompliance.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Develop andimplement data governance frameworks strategies andpolicies.
  • Lead the data governance team indefining data management standards andpractices.
  • Oversee data quality assessment dataclassification and privacy practices.
  • Establishand enforce data security and accesscontrols.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders toalign data strategies with businessobjectives.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance withdata regulations and industry standards.
  • Managedata governance tools and technologies for effectivegovernance.
  • Provide leadership in datagovernance initiatives and projects.
  • Conductdata risk assessments and develop mitigationplans.
  • Communicate data governance strategiesand progress to key stakeholders.
  • Identifyopportunities for process improvement and dataoptimization.
  • Collaborate with IT teams toimplement data governance solutions.
  • Developand deliver training programs on data governance bestpractices.
  • Drive a culture of data stewardshipand accountability across theorganization.
  • Stay current with industry trendsand best practices in datagovernance.
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors or Mastersdegree in Computer Science Information Systems or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience in data managementgovernance or related roles.
  • Strongunderstanding of data governance principles and bestpractices.
  • Experience in leading and managingdata governance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of datamanagement standards regulations and compliancerequirements.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to engage and influencestakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implementdata governance strategies andframeworks.
  • Experience with data governancetools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical andproblemsolving abilities in a data governancecontext.
  • Ability to lead mentor and develop ahighperforming data governance team.
  • Proventrack record of driving cultural change toward data governance andstewardship.
  • Strong project management andorganizational skills in a data governancecontext.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinkingwith tactical handson execution.
  • Certificationsin data management or governance are aplus.
  • Experience in regulated industries suchas finance or healthcare isadvantageous.
