Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in Kolkata. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks such as maintaining financial records, preparing reports, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with audits. The role also includes helping with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts as well as ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with accounting software and tools
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
