Azure Cloud Engineer

We're Hiring: Azure Cloud Engineer  As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting cloud infrastructure, automation, disaster recovery, and migration initiatives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade outcomes. Location: Bangalore Urban, India ⏰ Work Mode: Flexible office & remote Role: Azure Cloud Engineer What You'll Do: Architecture, Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Design, implement, and manage Azure services including Virtual Machines, Scale Sets, VNets, Storage, AKS, App Services, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, and Azure Site Recovery. Develop and manage disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical applications using Azure Site Recovery. Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guidelines. Lead and execute infrastructure modernization, obsolescence management, migration, and upgrade projects. Assess existing on-premises and cloud environments for readiness and define migration roadmaps, timelines, and risk mitigation plans. Determine and apply appropriate migration approaches such as lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or refactoring. Develop, maintain, and optimize Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI. Maintain accurate cloud infrastructure documentation, standards, and governance policies. Administer Windows Server environments including installation, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management. Support and manage Linux server environments including RHEL, Ubuntu, and Fedora. Integrate backup and disaster recovery architectures across infrastructure, application, and security layers. Perform performance tuning and capacity planning for cloud workloads. Act as a subject matter expert for Azure and AWS, providing escalation support and technical guidance. Security, Compliance & Resilience Implement best practices for cloud security, identity management, RBAC, and data protection. Ensure infrastructure complies with internal security policies and regulatory standards. Architect cloud solutions for high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and operational resilience. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud initiatives. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Take ownership of assigned IT projects from design through delivery and operational support. What We're Looking For: Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Azure and/or AWS. Proven experience in cloud design, provisioning, migration, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery. Minimum 5 years of experience managing Windows Server environments (2012–2022+). Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, clustering, storage, DHCP, RDS, PKI, and IIS. Minimum 5 years of experience administering Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, Fedora). Hands-on experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, and Azure CLI. Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills. Desired Qualifications & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Administrator or Architect certifications. ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage. Experience with cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solutions. Familiarity with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Strong scripting and automation skills across cloud platforms. Ready to elevate your career?
