Senior Quantity Surveyor

A Senior Quantity Surveyor manages all costs associated with construction projects, ensuring they stay within budget, and oversees procurement and contractual matters. They also lead and mentor junior staff, and collaborate with various teams to achieve optimal financial outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Project Cost Management:Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans, and monitoring project expenditures to ensure adherence to budget.
• Tender and Contract Management:Preparing tender and contract documents, evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes, and managing procurement processes.
• Cost Analysis and Control:Conducting cost analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost control measures.
• Risk Management:Assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaboration and Communication:Working with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on cost and contractual matters.
• Leadership and Mentorship:Leading and mentoring junior quantity surveyors, providing guidance and training.
• Contractual Claims:Advising on contractual claims and disputes, and assisting in their resolution.
• Reporting:Preparing and submitting progress reports and final accounts to stakeholders.

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Primavera, PWA).
• Thorough knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
