Robotics Software Engineer

As a Robotics Software Engineer -II- at HyperHorizon, you will work in the development and maintenance of the navigation stack, including behaviours, path planners, perception modules and GCS integration for mission-critical AUV subsystems and lead a highly skilled team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to ensure the reliability and performance of the product.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working and hands-on experience with 3D online real-time path planning, obstacle avoidance, EKF/UKF/Optical flow-based state estimation and robot localisation.

  • Take up hardware sensor selection and have a good ground-up understanding of hardware-software integration on edge devices.

  • Ability to bring the product from simulation to real-world executed by identifying risks/ limitations.

  • Architecting and implementing software pipeline of product, front-end ground control station (GCS) and backend navigation code.

  • Responsibility for documentation and verification of software stability in the long run.

  • Should act as code maintainer, perform code reviews and guide the team in developing scalable architecture.


Requirements

Required Qualification and Skills

  • Experience in coding in object-oriented languages like C++11, C++14 and Python.

  • Robust Expertise in navigation stack development for any autonomous robot with a strong-hold in localisation.

  • Good knowledge of deploying software on Nvidia Jetson devices, including proficiency with the latest JetPack 6.0

  • Robust Experience in working with the Linux ROS platform for software development.

  • Proficient in using robot simulators like GAZEBO.

Desired Qualification and Skills

Experience in developing a navigation system with dead reckoning for an outdoor vehicle.
