Mobile Android Developer


Job Title: Android Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our innovative team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. You will work closely with our product management and design teams to translate requirements into elegant, user-friendly mobile Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Work with external data sources and APIs.

- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

- Help maintain code quality, organization, and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as an Android Developer or similar role.

- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

- A knack for benchmarking and optimization.

- Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.

- Proficient understanding of Kotlin and/or Java.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Experience with automated testing suites, such as Espresso or Appium.

- Knowledge of Firebase services.

- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.

- Ability to keep up with the latest industry trends and technologies.
