Lead Hubspot CMS Developer (5+ Years)

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai (On-site)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Lead HubSpot CMS Developer to take ownership of our web development initiatives on the HubSpot platform. With at least 5+ years of hands-on experience, you will lead the development and optimization of HubSpot CMS-based websites, custom modules, and digital experiences. This role requires a balance of technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and team leadership.

As a senior technical leader, you'll work closely with marketing, design, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable, high-performance, and user-centric digital solutions using the HubSpot CMS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end development of HubSpot CMS themes, templates, custom modules, and landing pages.
  • Translate wireframes and design mockups into high-quality, responsive, and accessible front-end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HubL .
  • Lead the CMS architecture and coding standards , ensuring maintainability, reusability, and scalability.
  • Guide and mentor junior developers, providing code reviews, technical direction, and training on HubSpot CMS best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, content) to develop engaging and conversion-optimized web experiences.
  • Utilize HubSpot CLI, Design Tools , and Git for effective code management and deployment.
  • Optimize website performance for SEO, page load speed, mobile responsiveness , and accessibility.
  • Manage HubDB , smart content, and dynamic personalization strategies within the CMS.
  • Stay current on HubSpot CMS updates, emerging tools, and web development trends.
  • Act as a technical consultant for internal stakeholders, helping them understand CMS capabilities and limitations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing on the HubSpot CMS platform.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript , and HubL .
  • Proven experience building and maintaining custom themes, templates, and modules in HubSpot.
  • Deep understanding of HubSpot Design Manager, CMS Hub Enterprise , and drag-and-drop functionality.
  • Experience using HubSpot CLI and version control systems (e.g., Git) .
  • Solid knowledge of responsive design principles, SEO best practices , and web accessibility (WCAG) .
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing HubDB and building dynamic pages using HubL.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing projects and mentoring developers.
  • HubSpot CMS Developer Certification is strongly preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue) and their integration in HubSpot modules.
  • Understanding of HubSpot CRM data and its usage within CMS content personalization.
  • Experience in A/B testing, performance monitoring , and analytics implementation in HubSpot.
  • Background in agency, SaaS, or growth-driven design environments.
