Responsibilities

Hardware Responsibility (e.g. Frame, Turbine Disk etc.) or responsible for a set of h/w (e.g. Front block HPC rotor or Aft block HPC Casings) or module lead.

Owning hardware design decisions.

Mentors / Leads design, analysis and PDE team members. Interactions with diverse stake holders like Shops, customers, PSEs, Repair, CTP, MCRB, etc. Leads design substantiation of a set of h/w in front of technical experts.

Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and customer commitments.

Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally.

Uses judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns, or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers.

Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Qualifications/Requirements
 

- Bachelors /Masters/PhDs in Mechanical Engineering specialization with strong academic track record.

- Opportunities available across experience levels of 3 years to 15 years.
-Experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Design, Product support Engineering (PSE) or hardware ownership position.
- Strong engineering problem solving capabilities.
- Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
