AbouttheRole:
Realoqis actively seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic teamplaying a crucial role in shaping and optimizing our datainfrastructure. As a Senior Data Engineer you will be at theforefront of Realoqs datadriven initiatives contributing to thedesign development and maintenance of robust datasystems.
Qualifications:
  • 5years of handson experience as a DataEngineer.
  • Excellent knowledge of setting up ETLand ELT jobs
  • Job scheduling and reporting usingAirflow/Prefect or relevant tools.
  • Goodunderstanding of strategies for data enrichment datastaging
  • Strong coding skills in Python isnecessary.
  • Experience in updating andoptimizing the local and metadatamodels.
  • Evaluate the implemented data systemfor variances discrepancies andefficiencies.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize theexisting data flows models and processing jobs bymodularizing.
  • Explore ways to enhance the dataquality and reliability.
  • Strong in writingUDF
  • Proficiency in writing clean and effectivecode using Python Scala and PySpark is essential coupled with astrong understanding of the Spark framework and a comprehensivegrasp of the dynamics of the Hadoop cluster ecosystem includingservices like Spark jobs.
  • Enthusiasm to solveany ongoing issues with operating thecluster
  • Good knowledge of Big Data queryingtools such as AWS Athena andSparkSQL.
  • Experience with integration of datafrom multiple data sources
  • Knowledge of variousETL techniques and frameworks like AWS Glue and AWS Lambdapreferred

Responsibilities:
  • ImplementLogical and physical data models as per the businessneeds.
  • Selecting and integrating any Big Datatools and frameworks required to provide requestedcapabilities
  • Implementing ETL and ELTprocess
  • Discuss with stakeholders to understandthe requirements and come up withtimelines
  • Come up with strategies to test thepipelines
  • Do design and implementation for datacollection cleansing enrichment andmaintenance
