Job Overview


We are hiring a Senior Accountant for our Mugalivakkam office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This is a full-time position with a requirement of 7 to 10 years of experience. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing general accounts, Tally, GST, bank reconciliation, general ledgers, and accounts payable (AP).


Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of Tally and other accounting software
  • Experience with GST filings and documentation
  • Excellent understanding of general accounting principles
  • Proficient in bank reconciliations and general ledger management
  • Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Manage all aspects of the company's general accounts
  • Handle Tally entries and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare and file GST returns
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledgers
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and ensure timely payments
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Provide financial analysis and reports as required
