1. Maximize a product’s sound quality by developing a signal processing technology which is related to collecting and playing sounds.

2. Improve competitiveness of sound quality products and services by developing a differentiated solution which is related to collecting and playing sounds.


Job Description

1. (Designing a solution algorithm) Design SOTA audio & voice solution such as Acoustic Echo Cancellation, Beamforming, Bandwidth Extension, Audio Compression, Wakeup, Multi-Keyword Detection, Voice Cloning, Speech Enhancement, Speech Separation, Speaker Diarization, Sound Source Separation, Spatial Audio, etc. for Samsung current and future products both on-device and server based.

2. (Optimizing a solution) Optimize the developed audio & voice solutions using DSP H/W, NPU, CPU SIMD Instruction, GPU, etc. for several low computation target devices.

3. (Evaluating a solution’s performances) Quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate functions and performances of a solution used to improve and differentiate quality of audio and voice call.

4. (Discovering a new technology) Develop an audio and voice based generative audio solution, direction for our company by discovering a new technology, sensing market and technological trends, latest products, etc.

5. (Project management) Define required project activities, allocate resources efficiently, manage development schedule and deliverables, and make a relevant document.

6. (Innovation) Create patents, publish paper on the latest SOTA technologies in the field of work

• Develops professional expertise by complying with company policies and procedures

• Works on problems of moderate scope where analyzing situations or data requires a review on various factors

• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

• Normally receives general instructions on routine work with detailed instructions on new projects or assignments

• Generally requires a Masters / Ph.D. degree with a minimum 5 years related experience, or advanced degree without experience
