Tata Electronics is committed to creating a socioeconomic footprint by employing many women in its workforce and actively supporting local communities through initiatives in environment, education, healthcare, sports and livelihood.Role OverviewThe role is within the Digital Department, specifically in the MES team, focusing on shop floor systems. This position involves leading the development of shop floor system solution in line with the industry standards to ensure regulatory compliance and digital transformation.ResponsibilitiesMES strategy & technical leadershipLead the design, development & deployment of robust, scalable MES solutions using .NET, C#, Java & Python technologiesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement custom MES module to optimize manufacturing workflows.Stay updated with emerging technologies and adopt in the software to keep the solution up to date.Ensure ISA 95 standards are appliedIntegration & system alignmentDevelop standard plug-in to interface MES with L2 systems such as PLC/SCADA and enterprise apps such as SAP, PLM, LMS & WMSEnsure real-time data exchange and maintain coding is done to manage large volume of data transactions.Compliance, regulation & supportEnsure compliance with Info-security and other regulatory standardsManage controlled change to MES systems/configurationsMaintain single code base at MES COEEssential AttributesExtensive experience (4~6 years) as a development lead in MES, shop floor applications preferably in Electronics/Semiconductor industry with over all 10~15 years in software developmentProficiency in programming languages including .NET, Java, C# and Python.Experience with Linux. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift and relation databases (Oracle, SQL)Familiarity with integration protocols such as OPC, MQTT, SECS/GEM and Restful APIs.QualificationsBachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science.Desired Experience Level10-15 years of relevant experience.
