Role & responsibilities

The role of interior designer is multifaceted, encompassing providing professional advice for executing interior design services in commercial or residential domains. They conceptualize design plans, propose space configurations, specify materials, and manage projects from conception to completion. Duties entail:

  • Advising on interior layout and proposing reconfigurations.
  • Creating 2D/3D design plans, mood boards, and visualizations.
  • Selecting Furniture, Fixtures, and Fittings (FF&E) for procurement.
  • Managing timelines, purchase orders, and deliveries.
  • Liaising with contractors, engineers, and specialists on-site.

The duties and responsibilities of an interior designer is to enhance effectiveness, functionality, and aesthetics while ensuring safe and optimal space utilization. Considering the spaces intended function, an interior designer crafts environments that meet user needs and positively impact occupants. Additionally, they prioritize sustainability and minimize environmental impact.

Note: Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup, VRay, Lumion, Stadpro, MS Office, 2D, 3D, Corona and Adobe Photoshop

Must have Diploma OR Degree in Architecture from a reputed Institute.
