Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and detail-oriented professional to lead the development of high-impact content aligned with JK Lakshmipat University's brand vision and values. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of content marketing, digital media, and storytelling within the higher education landscape. This role requires a proactive individual capable of crafting and executing a content strategy that enhances the university’s visibility, engages prospective students and stakeholders, and supports the institution’s broader marketing and academic objectives.
Job Outline
The incumbent will oversee the entire content creation process—from strategy to execution—across all platforms, including the website, social media, digital ads, and printed collateral. The primary goal is to develop compelling content that engages prospective students, alumni, faculty, and industry stakeholders while maintaining brand consistency across all channels. The Manager will collaborate with various internal teams, including marketing, admissions, and academic departments, to produce content that highlights the strengths and unique offerings of JK Lakshmipat University.
This role requires the ability to strategize, create, repurpose, and repackage content tailored for different formats and channels. Responsibilities include writing and editing web content, social media posts, blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, SEO-focused materials, press releases, and content for other marketing collaterals. The individual will also be responsible for setting the tone and style of the content, ensuring consistency and alignment with the university's brand voice, and maintaining a high level of quality across all platforms. Additionally, the candidate will monitor the performance of content campaigns, adjust strategies as needed, and work with digital marketing teams to optimize content for SEO and lead generation.
Success in this role will be measured through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which will be defined annually in alignment with the university’s marketing goals.
Knowledge / Education
- Master’s degree in journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Courses in content strategy, SEO, or marketing will be an added advantage.
Specific Skills
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the university’s brand vision and marketing objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end content creation process, for various platforms, including website, social media, blogs, press releases, and marketing collateral.
- Set and maintain a consistent tone, voice, and style across all content to reflect the university’s brand identity.
- Develop creative storytelling approaches to communicate the university’s values, mission, and unique offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging stories and campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices and is optimized for search engine visibility.
- Oversee the repurposing and repackaging of content for various channels to maximize reach and engagement.
- Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the effectiveness of content, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve engagement and lead generation.
Desirable Experience
- 8-12 years of experience in content marketing, writing, and editing.
- Proven experience in managing content for big brands, marketing agencies, or media houses.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO and content optimization strategies.
- Strong understanding of brand identity and the ability to align communications with brand vision across various platforms.
- Experience working within the higher education ecosystem or related industries is a major plus.
