Lead Product Designer

Role & Responsibilities :


- Identify opportunities for new products


- Analyze how a new product ties in with market needs and consumer preferences


- Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners


- Research materials and techniques


- Sketch drafts on paper or digitally (for example, using CAD)


- Use 3D modeling software to design products and components


- Produce prototypes and test functionality


- Improve the design of existing products


- Gather feedback from product users


Ideal Candidate :


- Minimum 8+ years of progressive creative design experience or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.


- Work experience as a Product Designer or similar role


- Experience in industrial design


- Creativity in mixing up colors, shapes and techniques


- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools


- Good knowledge of 3D modeling software


- Experience with design programs (like Illustrator and Sketch)Time-management skills


- Adaptability


Responsibilities :


- Identify opportunities for new products based on market trends and consumer insights.


- Analyze how new products align with market needs and user preferences.


- Translate product briefs from internal teams and external partners into detailed design specifications.


- Sketch initial design concepts using traditional or digital tools (e.g., paper, CAD software).


- Utilize 3D modeling software to design and refine product components and prototypes.


- Develop functional prototypes and test them to identify and address any potential issues.


- Continuously improve existing product designs based on user feedback and market analysis.


- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales) to bring products to market.


Ideal Candidate :


- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in product design or a related field.


- Proven track record of successfully designing and launching new products.


- Strong understanding of product design principles and methodologies.


- Creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics, with the ability to combine colors, shapes, and techniques effectively.


- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools and 3D modeling software.


- Proficiency in design programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Sketch.


- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.


- Adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Manufacturing Design Engineering, or a relevant field (preferred).
