Senior QA Automation Engineer – Role Overview A Senior QA Automation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through advanced automation practices. This role involves designing and implementing scalable test automation frameworks, writing efficient test scripts, and integrating testing into the development lifecycle. The engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to identify issues early, improve test coverage, and accelerate delivery cycles. With strong proficiency in Selenium , Java , and C# , the Senior QA Automation Engineer is expected to lead automation efforts across multiple platforms and technologies, mentor junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and tools. Key Responsibilities Automation Strategy & Frameworks : Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and C#, leveraging Selenium for UI testing. Test Development : Create and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing. CI/CD Integration : Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality checks. Defect Analysis : Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers to resolve issues. Mentorship & Leadership : Guide junior QA engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with developers, product managers, and Dev Ops teams to align testing with business goals. Reporting & Documentation : Maintain clear documentation of test cases, results, and automation coverage metrics. Required Skills & Tools Languages : Java, C# Automation Tools : Selenium Web Driver, Test NG, JUnit, NUnit, MSTest Version Control : Git CI/CD Tools : Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions API Testing : Postman, Rest Assured (Java), Rest Sharp (C#) Frameworks : Page Object Model (POM), BDD (Cucumber, Spec Flow) Others : Docker, Maven/Gradle, Intelli J, Visual Studio
