Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding and extrusion machines to produce plastic packaging components and films.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality specifications, using tools like calipers and micrometers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with machinery to ensure smooth operation.
  • Adjust machine settings and monitor the production process to maintain consistent output and quality.
  • Accurately record production data, process changes, and equipment performance, and document all activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work with team members to improve production efficiency and address any technical challenges.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in injection molding or a related manufacturing field.
  • Basic understanding of machinery, mechanical systems, and the processes involved in plastic molding and extrusion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail for quality inspection and process adjustments.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a manufacturing environment, which may include lifting.
