Storage Plugin Developer
Location- Pune (India)
Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Software Plugin Developer, you will be responsible owning designing and developing components and features independently in IBM India Systems Development Lab. ISDL works on end to end design and development across Power, z and Storage portfolio. You would be a part of WW Storage development organization and would be involved in designing , developing and discussing product delivery & strategy. You should also have strong leadership quality to manage and work as technical leads and be able to deliver end to end features.
Responsibilities:
& Develop IBM FlashSystem (IBM Spectrum Virtualize) CINDER Plugin.
develop, test, and maintain CINDER plugins for storage systems integration
and be an avid coder who can get his hands dirty and be involved in the coding to the deepest level.
with Product management and peer architect on roadmap planning and POCs.
technical direction for development team.
in an Agile environment of continuous deliverable.
have access to all the technical training courses you need to become the expert you want to be.
learn directly from Sr members/leaders in this field.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
to 8 years of industry experience in Storage plugin development for Storage CINDER Plugins.
Programming, scripting and build tools in a Linux development environment.
knowledge of Openstack CINDER, REST APIs and JSON
with OpenStack Cinder API
experience of S/W development process & tools for product development/debugging
knowledge of working in Client-Server architecture.
development experience with Tomcat and Nginix
development/usage experience on Linux operating systems
working with authentication mechanisms (certificate based/user based)
problem-solving skills for complex issues with interdependencies across multiple modules
to crisply communicate with stake holders (clients and level 3 support teams) for resolving field issues.
and hand-on usage of code and defect management tools.
to meticulously plan and detail test executions and identifying dependencies.
written/verbal communication skills to report program status crisply and accurately.
working with Global teams.
technical leadership skills to mentor new team members.
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
Domain Knowledge on storage system management.
