Required Skill Set Aerospace Knowledge Working knowledge of gas turbine engine components and systems and particularly Trent engines Failure Analysis Techniques Proficient in root cause analysis (RCA), fault tree analysis (FTA), Fishbone diagrams, 5 Why’s and other problem-solving tools. Investigative Techniques Interpret inspection findings (including NDT and teardown reports) to understand failure mechanisms (e.G., fatigue, corrosion, wear, thermal stress). Familiar with failure mode documentation (FMECA and fault Trees). Digital Tools & Software Experience with CAD tools (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks), analysis tools (ANSYS, MATLAB), and data analysis platforms (Python, Excel, Power BI).
