Job Title: EDI Test Engineer – US Healthcare Domain Experience: 6 + Years Duration: Permanent Location: Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Noida, Mumbai Shift Timings: 2 PM – 11 PM (IST) Notice Period: Immediate Joiner Only About the Role We are looking for a seasoned EDI Test Engineer with in-depth experience in the US Healthcare domain and strong hands-on skills in both Functional and Automation testing . The ideal candidate should have expertise in validating HIPAA EDI transactions , ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards, and collaborating across teams to deliver quality, compliant solutions. Key Responsibilities Perform Functional and Automation testing for EDI transactions within US Healthcare systems. Validate and verify HIPAA EDI transactions such as: 837 – Claims 835 – Payments/Remittance Advice 270/271 – Eligibility Inquiry and Response 276/277 – Claim Status Inquiry and Response Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define effective test strategies. Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium or Tosca . Execute test cases, analyze results, identify defects, and document findings using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM). Conduct regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple systems. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare and HIPAA standards. Participate in production validation and post-deployment testing activities. Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and testing processes. Required Skills & Experience 6–12 years of total experience in QA/Testing , with strong hands-on experience in EDI Testing (Functional and Automation). Proven expertise in the US Healthcare domain , including working knowledge of HIPAA transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277). Proficiency in Selenium or Tosca for test automation. Strong understanding of Functional testing, test case design, and defect lifecycle management . Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and backend testing. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills . Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
