The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at GITAM invites bright and young faculty for Computer Science faculty positions for Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam & Bengaluru.

GITAM is looking for applicants with a passion for teaching and demonstrated excellence in research. We are looking for candidates with specializations like AI & ML, IoT, Cyber Security, and Data Science and expected to teach Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses, conduct independent research and provide services to the university. GITAM is looking to expand its Computer Science Faculty to global standards in the field of teaching and research. The faculty is expected to publish in Scopus indexed/Web of Science journals.

Qualification:

Assistant professor:

The candidate must possess a Ph.D. with minimum teaching experience.Associate professor:

Minimum of 8 years of Teaching/Industry/Research experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor. The candidate must have a minimum experience of 2 years after a Ph.D.Professor:

Minimum of 15 years of Teaching/Industry/Research experience, of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor. The candidate must possess a Ph.D.

Candidates should have an excellent academic record, good communication skills, and a commitment to high quality undergraduate and post graduate education and demonstrated ability to carry out original and creative research.2. GITAM encourages interaction of the faculty with industry, other research and professional institutions. Consultancy is also encouraged at GITAM and liberal consultancy policies are in practice.3. Facilities for research and development activities exist in all the Departments, Schools and Centers. These are being continuously modernized with contemporary equipment and services. Good facilities also exist for computing. The Institute has a well-stocked library with books, e-books, journals, reports, etc.4. Technology business incubator hosted by the Institute, called the Venture Development Center for Entrepreneurship serves to promote technology based entrepreneurship for faculty & students.5. Most of the day-to-day facilities are available on the Campus including two banks, a post office, a small shopping center, a well-equipped hospital (in Visakhapatnam), sports facilities and playground for field games.6. GITAM may consider candidates whose areas of specialization lie outside those stated herein, provided these persons have an outstanding academic record.
