The ideal candidate will lead solution design, govern delivery, and drive PLM architectural excellence for enterprise transformation programs.This role requires a blend ofhands-on SAP PLMexpertise (≈75%) andpractice development/presalescapability (≈25%).Key Responsibilities1. Solution Architecture & DesignLead theend-to-end architecture, design, and roadmapfor SAP PLM across product lifecycle processes.Translate business requirements into scalable PLM solutions leveraging SAP best practices.Define and documentsolution blueprints, architecture diagrams, process flows, and integration models .Architect PLM functionalities such as:Engineering Change Management (ECM)Document Management System (DMS)Product Data Management (PDM)Recipe/Formulation Management (for relevant industries)Variant Configuration (VC) / AVCProduct Structure Management and BOM handlingCAD/PLM integrationQuality and compliance workflows2. Project Execution & Delivery OwnershipLead workshops, requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution validation with business teams.Mentor the functional and technical team in PLM configuration and development activities.Ensure solution quality, compliance, and adherence to global standards.Support end-to-end project phases: Blueprinting → Design → Build → Testing → Cutover → Hypercare.Collaborate with cross-functional architects (MM, PP, QM, EWM, SD, PP-DS, BTP, Analytics, etc.).Provide SME support for complex issues and production stabilization.3. Practice Development & Presales (≈25%)Contribute toRFP/RFI responses , solution proposals, and client presentations.Assist in building PLMaccelerators, templates, reusable components , and best-practice assets.Conduct internal PLM capability building and knowledge-sharing sessions.Evaluate and recommendemerging SAP PLM technologies , integrations, and innovations.Required Skills & Experience12–17 yearsof total SAP experience with strong focus onSAP PLM .Minimum2–3 full-cycle SAP PLM implementationsin a Solution Architect or Lead role.Deep SAP PLM process knowledge, including:Specification managementEngineering change and release managementDMS architecture and content server integrationLifecycle data and engineering recordsProduct and material master governancePLM web UI and workflow setupsStrong experience inS/4HANA PLM , including latest innovations.Hands-on expertise inPLM–CAD/3D Integration , SAP Engineering Control Center (ECTR), Siemens/Teamcenter integration (added advantage).Cross-module integration knowledge withPP, QM, MM, EWM, SD , andBTP .Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performance PLM solutions for global deployments.Strong communication skills with experience presenting to CXO-level stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsSAP Certification inSAP PLM / S/4HANA PLMpreferred.Experience inDiscrete Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Consumer Goods , orHi-Techindustries.Understanding of compliance requirements: REACH, RoHS, Regulatory Data, etc.Exposure to SAP MDG for Product (MDG-M/MDG-EAM).Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.EducationBachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fields.
