Position: Demand Planner Location: REMOTE Contract Position The Role The Demand Planner will lead the enhancement and execution of global demand planning processes, tools, and systems to improve forecasting accuracy and business performance. Acting as a central point of contact for demand planning operations, you will collaborate across multiple functions, including regional leaders, planning teams, digital technology services, and external partners. This role combines analytical expertise, process leadership, and strategic influence to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all business units. Key Responsibilities Drive system optimization: Act as the subject matter expert in demand planning tools and forecasting systems, ensuring alignment with business, supply chain, and market requirements. Enhance forecasting accuracy: Build, monitor, and refine statistical forecasting models and predictive analytics to improve demand planning outcomes. Establish and track KPIs: Develop, standardize, and communicate performance metrics that measure forecast accuracy and model effectiveness. Lead implementation projects: Oversee the deployment of advanced planning and trade promotion systems, collaborating with technology and external vendor teams. Training and enablement: Deliver expert-level training, conduct system audits, and identify opportunities for process improvement across global teams. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with regional leaders, sales, logistics, field teams, and IT to align strategies, harmonize processes, and enable end-to-end planning optimization. Innovation & continuous improvement: Identify forward-thinking solutions, emerging technologies, and modern best practices to strengthen forecasting and planning capabilities. Stakeholder communication: Serve as the key liaison for cross-regional planning discussions, providing updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership. Data-driven decision support: Translate complex data into actionable business insights that support strategic planning and operations. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: 10+ years in demand planning and forecasting, or 7+ years with a relevant Master’s degree. Proven expertise with leading demand planning or demand sensing systems and statistical modeling tools. Technical skills: Strong understanding of predictive analytics, system optimization, and troubleshooting in demand planning platforms. Leadership & influence: Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing change, and influencing in matrixed environments. Analytical mindset: Skilled in applying mathematical and statistical methods to improve forecast accuracy and business insight. Collaboration & communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a track record of building trusted partnerships across diverse teams.
