Overall Mission:
The Store Manager will be responsible for operating Gioia’s Kolkata Airport boutique, ensuring superior customer service, driving sales growth, managing staff, compliance and maintaining operational excellence in line with Gioia’s luxury positioning.
The mission is to manage the store on a day-to-day basis to increase sales, deliver a seamless customer journey, and uphold the highest brand standards through effective leadership, sales management, and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff & Leadership
Lead, hire, train, and develop store staff in line with Gioia’s luxury service standards.
Provide continuous coaching and feedback to build a motivated and high-performing team.
Foster a culture of elegance, discipline, and customer-first mind-set.
Sales & Client Development
Drive store sales to achieve and exceed monthly targets.
Play an active role on the sales floor, demonstrating luxury selling techniques.
Develop and nurture VIP clientele through personalized client servicing.
Implement events and in-store activations to attract new customers, especially within the airport traveller demographic.
Customer Experience
Ensure every client receives an elevated retail experience aligned with Gioia’s values.
Handle customer concerns with diplomacy and professionalism, ensuring high satisfaction.
Act as Gioia’s brand ambassador, reinforcing trust and exclusivity.
Operations & Inventory
Manage daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and security within the airport environment.
Oversee stock levels, replenishments, and loss prevention measures.
Ensure store displays and visual merchandising reflect Gioia’s luxury identity.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
Monitor KPIs, analyze business trends, and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
Stay updated on competitor activities and adapt strategies accordingly.
Key Requirements & Competencies:
Minimum 4–8 years’ experience in luxury retail, with at least 2–4 years in a store leadership role.
Strong exposure to premium fashion, accessories, or luxury lifestyle brands.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-value clientele.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English (knowledge of regional languages an advantage).
Entrepreneurial mind-set with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
High grooming standards, professional presence, and strong customer orientation.
Ability to thrive in the fast-paced airport retail environment.
Graduate/Postgraduate in Retail, Business, or Fashion Management preferred.
