Java Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Java-based applications using Spring Boot microservices architecture.
• Develop and maintain JSP-based web applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for seamless communication between distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Guide, mentor, and provide technical leadership to a team of Java developers.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to application performance and integration.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in coding standards, security, and software development lifecycle.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.
• Document technical designs, development processes, and support guides.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Java development with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud for microservices development.
• Hands-on experience with JSP (JavaServer Pages) and Servlets.
• Extensive experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
• Knowledge of API security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and version control systems (Git).
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate.
• Good knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) related to JSP development.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
