Role & responsibilities

Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and meticulous Ecommerce Product Vendor Manager to lead procurement, vendor relations, catalog curation, and inventory forecasting for our two flagship ecommerce platforms. This role spans both traditional spiritual products (e.g., rudraksha, copper kalash, abhishekam kits) and modern longevity supplements (e.g., NAD+ boosters, Shilajit blends, biohacking stacks).

Key Responsibilities

For

  • Source and onboard authentic spiritual product vendors (Giri Tradingstyle)
  • Coordinate with Vedic suppliers for bulk procurement of puja items, yantras, rudrakshas, idols, Vastu items, and temple-grade consumables
  • Ensure product authenticity, scriptural adherence, and timely restocking of fast-moving items

Oversee SKU enrichment: spiritual context, rituals associated, mantra energization instructions, etc.

For Longevityfolks:

  • Collaborate with biohacking suppliers (India + global) for adaptogens, nootropics, functional tonics, herbo-mineral blends, etc.
  • Vet and negotiate with manufacturers for private-label supplements aligned to Ayurvedic, Siddha, and functional medicine protocols
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (FSSAI, WHO GMP, etc.) for wellness products
  • Work with formulation experts to co-create niche products (e.g., Rasayana blends, neuroenhancers, anti-aging stacks)

Common Responsibilities:

  • Maintain optimal stock levels and real-time sync with ecommerce platforms
  • Coordinate product packaging, bundling, and eco-conscious shipping strategies
  • Conduct periodic competitive benchmarking , Patanjali, Kapiva, Himalaya, Onnit, etc.)
  • Ensure high-margin product mix and logistics efficiency across categories

Preferred candidate profile

What Were Looking For

  • 3+ years experience in ecommerce procurement, vendor management, or category buying (Amazon, Flipkart, D2C brands)
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spiritual product ecosystems (preferred: experience with Giri Trading, Odiyans, or spiritual vendors)
  • Interest/knowledge in wellness, Ayurveda, longevity supplements, or functional medicine
  • Vendor negotiation and logistics optimization ninja
  • Hands-on with platforms like Shopify, Unicommerce, Zoho Inventory, or similar
  • Able to travel to supplier sites (Chennai, Coimbatore, Varanasi, Delhi, etc.) as required

Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

  • Degree in Ayurvedic Pharmacy / Sanskrit / Religious Studies / Life Sciences
  • Working knowledge of SKU profitability metrics
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Marketplace, Jiomart, etc.
