Phase 1: Orbital Intelligence (Current Focus - Seeding Phase): We are actively developing and preparing to launch a next-generation constellation of small satellites. This phase is dedicated to providing critical, high-frequency Earth Observation (EO) and secure data relay services directly to military organizations, defense contractors, and specialized government agencies that demand unparalleled reliability and strategic access.
Phase 2: Digital DNA Data Storage Solution (Expansion Phase): Following our orbital deployment, we will commercialize our proprietary data solution—a revolutionary platform that uses synthetic DNA molecules to encode and preserve petabytes of data with extreme density and durability for thousands of years, offering the ultimate archival and high-security storage for the world’s most critical information.
Owl is building the foundational architecture for the next era of global data security and access. We are seeking a visionary to fuel this ambitious, multi-billion-dollar market play.
Role Description Director of Capital Formation & Investor Relations (Fundraising Specialist) This is a critical role offered as Full-time or Part-time , with the work location flexible between Remote, Hybrid, or On-Site , depending on the candidate's preference and suitability for maximum investor engagement. The Director of Capital Formation will be responsible exclusively for securing investment across our Seed and Expansion phases from strategic partners, Angel Investors, and Venture Capital (VC) firms.
The primary and only function of this role is to raise funds for Owl. Day-to-day tasks include:
Investor Sourcing and Networking: Systematically identifying, building, and maintaining relationships with potential investors (Angel Networks, Family Offices, VC Firms) globally.
GCC Region Focus: Leveraging a pre-existing, robust network within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region like Qatar, Dubai, and similar middle eastern reginoal countries.
Sovereign Wealth Fund Engagement: Initiating and managing high-level dialogues with government-backed investment organizations, such as the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) , Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) , and similar regional sovereign wealth funds.
Pitch Management: Developing, refining, and delivering compelling investor presentations and business plans to secure favorable funding rounds.
Due Diligence: Acting as the primary liaison during the due diligence process, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of information between investors and the Owl leadership team.
Qualifications Essential Experience & Network Proven Capital Raising Track Record: A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in securing early-stage funding (Pre-Seed/Seed/Series A) for technology startups.
Investor Network Depth: Verifiable, strong, and active relationships with leading Angel Investors, Venture Capital firms, and Private Equity groups.
GCC Investment Expertise: Demonstrable direct contacts and a deep understanding of the investment landscape and decision-makers within GCC-based investment firms and Sovereign Wealth Funds (e.g., QIA, ADIA, Mubadala) .
Financial Acumen: Excellent understanding of venture valuation, deal structuring, term sheets, and financial modeling for high-growth tech startups.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technology and business plans clearly and persuasively to non-technical, high-net-worth investors.
Education & Attributes Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
A background in Investor Relations, Investment Banking, or Venture Capital is highly valued.
Self-starter with a relentless focus on results and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Ability to handle high-stakes negotiations and pressure in a fast-paced environment.
