Job Title: ServiceNow ITOM/HAM/SAM Specialist (ServiceNow HAM, Discovery & ITOM) Experience: 5+ Years Location: Gurugram Job Type: Hybrid (3 Days) Shift Timing: General Shift Notice period: Immediate Joiner About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow ITOM/HAM/SAM Specialist with over 6 years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and managing IT Operation Management, Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules in ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, lifecycle automation, platform scripting, and integrations. You will play a critical role in optimizing IT asset management processes and enabling seamless IT operations via ServiceNow. Key Responsibilities: Lead ServiceNow ITOM implementations focusing on Discovery Setup, configuration of discovery schedules, troubleshooting discovery issues, and designing/distributing patterns for accurate data collection. Configure, customize, and maintain Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module, including asset lifecycle automation, asset procurement, inventory management, reconciliation, retirement, and audits. Implement and manage Software Asset Management (SAM) processes ensuring compliance, software usage tracking, license management, and lifecycle automation. Develop, maintain, and optimize CMDB, aligning with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards to ensure accurate and trusted configuration data. Design and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports related to ITOM, HAM, and SAM for stakeholders and management. Extensive platform scripting expertise using Business Rules, Client Scripts, GlideAjax, Scheduled Jobs, and UI policies for automation and enhancing workflows. Integrate ServiceNow ITOM, HAM, and SAM modules with third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Connectors, and Webhooks for seamless data exchange. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to ITOM, HAM, SAM, CMDB, and integrations. Strong understanding and alignment with ITSM processes such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management to ensure smooth workflow integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, Procurement, and Finance to improve asset and operation management processes. Provide technical guidance, best practices, and mentor junior team members. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 6+ years of experience working primarily on ServiceNow ITOM, HAM, and SAM modules. Proven hands-on experience with Discovery configuration, scheduling, troubleshooting, and pattern design. Solid understanding and experience managing Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes in ServiceNow. In-depth knowledge of CMDB management and familiarity with CSDM framework. Strong scripting skills in JavaScript for ServiceNow platform: Business Rules, Client Scripts, GlideAjax, UI policies, and Scheduled Jobs. Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST APIs, SOAP, IntegrationHub Connectors, and Webhooks. Familiarity with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem) and ServiceNow ITSM modules. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex platform and integration problems. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple priorities. Following certifications are Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management (HAM) ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (SAM) ITIL Foundation Certification (advantageous) Additional Competencies: Experience with Automation using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub. Knowledge of SCCM or other asset discovery tools integration. Understanding of Cloud Asset Management (cloud subscriptions, SaaS) is a plus. Exposure to Agile Development Methodologies.
