Job Overview:

Quest Global is seeking an FPGA Design Engineering Lead for aerospace applications.

The Engineering Lead will be part of a team developing code, completing simulations, developing documentation within the DO-254 framework and working with a talented group of engineers with varying experience levels and possessing the following skill set:

  • Team lead responsibilities include oversight of team members and project related duties
  • Team lead responsibilities in the area of team oversight includes assignment of daily engineering tasks, technical assistance, timely delivery of individual’s work product, potential mentoring.
  • Team lead responsibilities in the area of project related duties includes participating in planning, schedule management, Customer management, Status reports, risk management, adherence to design processes.
  • Team lead responsibilities would consume between 20 -50% of bandwidth
  • Collaborate in completing design documentation to included, design specification, update requirements specification, update traceability documentation.
  • Needs to have a good working knowledge of VHDL designs.
  • Must be self-motivated and have initiative to reach out an interact with the existing team
  • Individual that has working knowledge of digital systems, and components, FPGA design methodologies, testing, debugging, root causing and testing methodologies.


Required Skills:

  • VHDL design skills to implement communication protocols, memory interface, data management, processor interface support, other.
  • Familiar with design, simulation, synthesis, place and route design skills
  • FPGA implementation, routing, design constraints, timing and pin-out skills
  • Should have hands on experience in Zynq FPGA SoCs or similar devices
  • Should have very good understanding of FPGA internals
  • Troubleshooting RTL Design Flaws using Simulation Environment.
  • Ability to take a problem and come up with a solution.
  • I/O Timing Analysis
  • CDC techniques
  • Familiar with DAL-A design methodology
  • Experience in using Gigabit Transceivers or high speed interfaces will be an advantage
