Our client is a fast growing profitable start-up founded by experienced founder within the consumer tech space.

Job Description


Finance Head will play a key role in setting up strong finance systems in place, manage investor relations, due diligence etc. We have mentioned below some core responsibilities for the role
1. Financial Accounting: Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including overseeing the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
2. Monthly and Quarterly Financial Statements: Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decision-making.
3. Reporting: Develop and implement financial reporting systems and processes to provide timely and accurate financial information to management and stakeholders. Prepare various financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
4. IR, DD & Audits: handle investor queries, manage due diligence process, coordinate and manage internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. Prepare audit schedules, liaise with auditors, and implement recommended changes to improve financial controls. Also, participate in any due diligence activities that happen during fund raising process.
5. Identify areas for cost optimisation and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses. Analyze financial data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost optimisation strategies.
6. Direct / Indirect Taxes / Secretarial compliance
7. FP&A: Running revenue pipeline with probability, business vertical wise growth/profitability, business development targets and business models for in-house projects. Conduct project/ department wise profitability & analysis including risk management

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should be a CA with over 7+ years of experience and should have worked in a similar role at an ecommerce or consumer tech start-up. The candidate should have sound finance knowledge along with strong commercial acumen. Ability to manage internal as well as external stakeholders will play a major part in selecting the ideal candidate for the role.
