Site Reliability Engineer

Key Responsibilities

v Development Environment Support

· Provision and manage lower-level (pre-production) environments optimized for application development workflows

· Maintain local development environment consistency through containerization and infrastructure as code

· Support developers with environment troubleshooting, dependency management, and deployment issues

· Implement automated testing environments that mirror production application behavior

v Application Development & Integration

· Design and implement CI/CD pipelines tailored to application deployment patterns and requirements

· Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize application architecture for scalability and maintainability

· Build and maintain application-specific deployment strategies, including blue-green, canary, and rolling deployments

· Develop custom tooling and automation to support application lifecycle management

v Application Performance & Monitoring

· Implement application performance monitoring (APM) solutions and custom metrics dashboards

· Analyze application logs, traces, and performance data to identify optimization opportunities

· Design and maintain alerting strategies that focus on application health and user experience

· Work with development teams to implement observability best practices within applications

v Application Security & Compliance

· Integrate security scanning and compliance checks directly into application build and deployment pipelines

· Implement application-level security controls and monitoring

· Support development teams in addressing security vulnerabilities and compliance requirements

· Maintain secure secrets management and configuration practices for applications

v Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Serve as the bridge between development teams and infrastructure, translating application requirements into operational solutions

· Participate in architecture reviews and provide input on deployment and operational considerations

· Support incident response by analyzing application behavior and coordinating with development teams

· Mentor development teams on DevOps practices and operational best practices

Required Skills & Experience

v AWS Fundamentals

· Basic understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM)

· Familiarity with AWS container services (ECS) and serverless computing (Lambda)

· Experience with AWS monitoring and logging services (CloudWatch, CloudTrail)

· Understanding of AWS security basics (security groups, IAM roles/policies)

· Knowledge of AWS deployment services (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy)

v Application Development Basics

· Basic understanding of at least one modern programming language (Java, .NET, )

· Familiarity with web application architecture and REST APIs

· Understanding of application configuration management and environment variables

· Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL

· Awareness of microservices concepts and containerized applications

v DevOps Tools & Practices

· Experience with CI/CD concepts and basic pipeline creation

· Proficiency with Git version control and basic branching strategies

· Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) - Understanding of containerization concepts with Docker

· Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts (Terraform basics)

v Monitoring & Troubleshooting

· Experience with log analysis and basic troubleshooting techniques

· Understanding of application metrics and health checks

· Familiarity with dashboard creation and basic alerting

· Ability to read and interpret application logs and error messages

· Basic performance monitoring concepts

v Communication & Collaboration

· Strong communication skills for working with development teams

· Ability to document processes and procedures clearly - Willingness to learn and ask questions when needed

· Basic understanding of Agile development practices

· Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Nice to Have

· AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or Developer Associate)

· Experience with advanced Terraform usage - Familiarity with container orchestration

· Basic understanding of application performance optimization

· Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices

· Knowledge of additional monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus)

· Previous internship or project experience in software development or cloud computing

· Understanding of DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹1,500,000.00 per year
