POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Legal Entity controller for the Apollo Global Management (“AGM”) is responsible for entity-and department-level accounting, including but not limited to journal entries, analysis and monthly analytics to ensure accurate revenue, expense and balance sheet, and regulatory reporting for the management companies/ advisory entities within AGM. The position also includes oversight of 2 junior LEC team members in the Mumbai office.

LEC PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Dual-reporting oversight of 2 junior LEC team members (1 Credit and 1 Real Assets) with their direct LEC Manager in the US.

Prepare and review journal entries and ensure proper accounting treatment is applied to management company / advisory entity transactions and balances, including management fees, performances fees, consulting fees, equity method investments, etc.

Prepare and review segment results, including income statement and balance sheet variance analysis and commentary

Quarterly internal and external financial reporting, which includes earnings release, 10-Q/K and related disclosures, and MD&A commentary for segments, as well as other investor materials and team deliverables

Perform daily cash bookings, monthly bank reconciliations and expense allocation analysis

Coordinate with Front Office quarterly on deal status and projected fund allocations and provide reporting to Senior Management

Review intercompany analysis and reconciliations on a quarterly basis to support financial statements

Assist with GP Securitization and Broker Dealer transactions and financial reporting, as needed

Assist with AUM and management reporting, as well as ad-hoc requests and analysis

Compileandprovidedetailsupportandanalysesforinternalfilesandexternalauditreview

Focus on firm-initiatives, including system implementations, automation, report building and process enhancements

MaintainastrongSOX controlsenvironmentandensuringproperdocumentationfor various processes

Adhoc requests and value-added analysis to various firm stakeholders as necessary

Qualifications & Experience

Strong U.S.GAAP accounting expertise. ICAI, CPA equivalent required.

10+years of experience-Big 4 or mix of Big 4/ Private preferred.

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a major in finance, accounting and/or economics, and prior work related experience in the investment management or financial industry is highly recommended;

Proficient in desktop technology tools, especially MS Office (e.g. Microsoft Excel);

Individual must have strong drive andinitiative

Individual must be collaborative to effectively liaise with various internal departments and colleagues as well as able towork independently

Excellent verbal and written skills

Role requires individual to be flexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.

The ability to take on a task and“ run with it” to conclusion is a critical characteristic of this role.

Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail;

Candidate must have analytical, logical thought process for developing solutions
