Job Title: Linux System Administrator.

Location- Jaipur/Hyderabad (On-Site)

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Linux System Administrator with over 3 years of experience in managing Linux servers and VMware virtualization technologies. This individual will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in managing our VMware virtualization environment, including ESXi hosts and virtual machines.

Responsibilities:

  • configure, and maintain Linux servers, includingCentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux , to support business-critical applications and services.
  • ofLinux networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls is essential for configuring network interfaces, setting up networking services, and troubleshooting network connectivity problems.
  • system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize Linux server configurations to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux servers, following security best practices and compliance standards.
  • and maintain Linux-based services and applications, such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, and DNS, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
  • VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and VMware virtual machines , to support virtualized workloads and applications.
  • routine maintenance tasks, such as patching, updates, and backups, to keep Linux servers and VMware infrastructure secure and up-to-date.

  • of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus for system performance and health monitoring.
  • problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in Linux and VMware environments .
  • communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • certifications such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are a plus.
