Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Server Engineer (Senior – IT) to join our healthcare IT team. The candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining the hospital's IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on server administration, healthcare applications, and data security compliance. The role demands hands-on experience in server technologies, troubleshooting, and ensuring uptime of critical healthcare IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and healthcare-specific applications.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity planning to ensure 24/7 uptime.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user account administration.
  • Perform server patching, firmware upgrades, and regular security hardening.
  • Ensure data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) readiness.
  • Support healthcare applications (HIS, EMR, LIS, PACS) and coordinate with vendors for integration.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues impacting servers.
  • Collaborate with the Network/Security teams to ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards (HIPAA, NABH, ISO).
  • Maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, incidents, and system updates.
  • Provide on-call support for critical healthcare applications and infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in server administration (Windows/Linux) in a healthcare/hospital environment.
  • Strong knowledge of server virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
  • Experience in server patch management, firmware upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of data backup/recovery tools (Veeam, Symantec, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems (HIS, EMR, PACS, LIS).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of IT security practices in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications (Good to Have)

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator (MCSA/MCSE).
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) for hybrid server management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to service uptime in a critical healthcare environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400, ₹800,000.00 per year
