We are looking for a talented and motivated Finance Manager to help shape the future of our cloud products.

The organization's aim is to optimize our investments in cloud infrastructure while guiding down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve both profit and gross margin growth. All while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments and

safeguarding shareholder interest.

Our Azure GM Business Health & Analytics Team is chartered to lead the monthly Rhythm-of-the-Business processes and provide deep insights into the all-up Azure P+L performance and the 80+ product P+Ls within the Azure business. This team is critical to the success of the broader MSIO team as we provide subject matter expertise and reporting solutions that enable our finance, engineering, and business partners to drive toward our north star margin targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field, MBA preferred

• 7+ years of relevant experience with progressive advancement within your discipline

• Established leadership skills with strong analytical modeling and strategic thinking

• Proven data and financial modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems

• Ability to communicate complex analysis in a straightforward way. Executive level oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated results proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project through both individual and v-team efforts

• Initiative-taker driving best-in-class decision support in ambiguous environments

• Strong collaboration capabilities, with ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back as required

• Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed COGS analysis 

• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize impact and the resourcefulness to deliver

Responsibilities

The Finance Manager will be a critical part of the Azure Margin Health

team, ensuring the Microsoft Cloud businesses achieve the gross margin targets. We are looking for an initiative-taking individual who has curiosity to learn the Azure business and wants to make impact through strong partnership with key finance stakeholds, continuous

process improvements, and driving business insight.

This role is a wonderful opportunity to:

- Create insightful reports in both excel and PowerBI to provide clarity to current costs and gross margins trends across Azure products

- Identify and execute on automation projects to reduce delivery time of key month-end close and forecast deliverables

- Provide insightful driver-based modeling to influence and inform short-range planning and roadmap to gross margin targets

- Collaborate with Finance teams (including CFT, Revenue, Core Infra, Data, AI) to maintian accuracy of Azure Product P+L and reporting

- Become a SME for key systems and tools including (Alfred, Mercury, GMH Cube, PBI) to support team ROB processes

- Partner with FD&E (Finance Data & Experiences) team to maintain and evolve Azure Product Margin reporting cube (GMH, i.e Gross Margin Health) in order to meet business needs - Continuously improve and evolve insights through crisp financial analysis and KPIs influencing and impacting the business.
