Operating through two core verticals - Infrastructure Advisory and Financial Advisory, our team of over 240 professionals leverages interdisciplinary expertise to deliver complex projects with innovative solutions, particularly addressing current challenges such as Floods, Landslides, and other Climate Change impacts.Job OverviewAs an Urban Designer at Fortress Infracon Limited, you will play a crucial role in shaping the urban environment, ensuring sustainable and resilient urban infrastructure. You will contribute to a wide range of projects, from conceptual planning to detailed design and estimation, within a multidisciplinary team of experts.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop urban planning projects with a focus on sustainability and resilience to climate change.Collaborate with architects, planners, engineers, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions.Contribute to the preparation of detailed project reports, bid process management, and project management consultancy services.Engage in social and environmental impact assessments, providing innovative solutions to mitigate negative impacts.Utilize GIS, CAD, and other design software to create high-quality visualizations and presentations for projects.Required Skills and QualificationsA Master’s degree in Urban Design is required, with a strong academic record that demonstrates a deep understanding of urban planning principles, sustainable design, and resilience to climate change.3 to 5 years of professional experience in urban design or a closely related field, with a proven track record of contributing to the design and implementation of urban infrastructure projects.Proficiency in CAD software, GIS applications, and other design and planning tools is essential, enabling the creation of detailed and effective urban design solutions.An excellent grasp of contemporary challenges in urban environments, including climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, is crucial.Outstanding communication skills are a must, with the ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams that include architects, engineers, planners, and environmental specialists.Demonstrated ability in project management, with a keen eye for detail and the capability to lead projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they meet all technical specifications and sustainability goals.Interested candidates are invited to submit their application, including a detailed resume, a compelling cover letter explaining why you are a suitable candidate for this role, and a portfolio of relevant urban design work.
